New figures show that that smartphones now account for 64 per cent of all phones sold in the UK. Source OfCom 2011

Sales of Android phones increased by 1,508% to 7.9 million units in the last quarter of 2010, beating iPhone sales which only increased by 66%, figures have revealed. Overall, the mobile phone picture is of a huge surge in smartphone sales from the fourth quarter of 2009 to 2010, increasing by a total of 99.4%.
